Merry Christmas!!

For those of you not close enough to find this in your mailbox- 

First Sled Experience = 50% Damage Rate

This Saturday Matt, Wade, Reed and I took our sleds out to Vail Pass (Schmidty's sled was still in the shop getting ready for the season).  It was the first time on a snowmobile for all of us except for Reed so he showed us the ropes.  Let just say we got a little aggressive for our first time out because Wade and Reed ended up having to pick us up in Red Cliff with 2 broken sleds.  Matt hit a rock and broke his suspension within the first hour and I broke my entire ski leg off...

Got a little out of control and hopped off praying that my Honey Bee wouldn't crash into the tree...just missed it.

We went to Red Cliff for a beer; that town is awesome. We ended up visiting twice...not by choice.

The 'field of dreams' we called it. A hidden gem with powder (and hidden rocks) for days.  

Yep, completely broke off after hitting a big rock...luckily I used gravity to still drive it slowly and get back to Red Cliff.

Special Moment Sunday

Today was a special moment for Dah Barn.  It was the first ever family ski outing!!  Stay tuned for thrill-seeking action dropping all season long.   

Brewery Tour Saturday

Thanks to Lindsey getting us a reservation, we finally got a chance to visit New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins.  That place is amazing...and not just because you get a ton of free beer.

Over the weekend Mold is Gold decided to have what we would like to call a FriendsGiving.  FriendsGiving is an event that is held once a year and we had quit a turnout.

Trailer Ridiculousness

Well after several months of debate, we decided to upgrade to a 20 foot trailer to handle all 4 of our sleds at once.  The thing is a beast!  Somehow we fit it behinds Wade's house.

The awesome 10 foot trailer that Wade and I bought is now up for sale after being used once and getting 2 flat tires...totally worth it.

Paradise Cove

Last weekend we went camping outside of Cripple Creek and went to a place called Paradise Cove which is a commonly known cliff jumping spot.  Schmidty and Matt tied for MVP of the day.  It was pretty sketchy; Matt and Ty both hit the bottom but not until they were pretty much at a stop.  And the sweet spot was fairly small.  Wade sat back and shook his head the whole time; understandably.

Telluride Ride Festival

This past weekend we went to Telluride for The Ride Festival. The crew consisted of Jayna, Megan, Wade, Lindsey and myself.  Schmidty skipped out because that's just what he does and Alicia had to prep for her big first week of school.  The trip was amazing and Telluride is now my new favorite town...can't wait to go back this winter!

2nd Annual Wade/Schmidty Bday Bash

This past Saturday we had a party in Wash Park to celebrate Wade, Ty, and Schmidty's birthdays.  The theme was middle school field day so everyone came dressed from either Wade's middle school (cali bro) or Schmidty's school (wisco farmer boy) to re-live their glory days. Dress dictated the teams for each event...well at least that was the plan until everyone chose the easy route and teamed up with Wade. I actually may have been Schmidty's only classmate.

We ended up getting kicked out of the park for having kegs over 3.2% but luckily I just got a warning. We took the party to Dah Barn and good times were had late into the night. The highlight for me was seeing how stoked the boys were when they got their remote control helicopters. Megan and Tara both got a heli in the hair which was the funniest scene of the night. Shout out to Lindsey for her party planning skills.

WEEKEND WARRIOR Premiere

Tonight at Dah Barn we had the WEEKEND WARRIOR premiere. It was a solid way to start the Birthday weekend for Wade and Schmidty.  Now we are just excited to start doing real work this winter season...on to sleds and real filming.

Schmidty & Wade's Birthday Bash Anticipation

This Staturday will be the 2nd annual Wade / Schmidty Birthday bash.  Last years was themed The Great Amurican Beach Birthday Bash...everything American and Beachy made the party a hit. The slip-n-slide, wash park swim, and Christmas tree lighting were the highlights. This year, the theme has great potential but it must be kept a secret from the boys until tomorrow.
